How we help

Four ways we walk beside you

Newcomer Orientation

Understand how Canada works: healthcare, banking, schools, your rights. We run orientations five times a year.

Housing Connection

Find a safe, affordable home. We help you understand renting, your tenant rights, and how to avoid common traps.

Employment Support

Find work and build a career. Help with résumés, interviews, and connecting with employers who value your skills.

Counselling

Starting over is heavy. You don't have to carry it alone. We connect you with someone to talk to, in confidence.

Common questions

Is Step Wisely free?

Yes, completely free for newcomers. No fees, no eligibility paperwork.

When is the next Newcomer Orientation?

Orientations run about five times a year (March, May, July, September, November). Message us and we'll tell you the next date.

What should I bring?

Just yourself and your questions. If documents are needed for a specific step, we'll tell you in advance.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
