United by compassion, strengthened by diversity.
Serving Canada since 2024

Serving our community with courage and heart.

Humans of Valor is a nonprofit that helps newcomers and underserved communities in Canada settle, find belonging, and build a stronger future. We connect people to the support, opportunities, and community they need, here and around the world.

Why we exist

Small things, done with a lot of love.

No one should face hard times alone. We’re here for our neighbours: close, human, and treating every person who walks in like family.

  • Stand with our community: food support, mental health, and belonging
  • Welcome newcomers: housing, work, school, and counselling
  • Reach further: humanitarian work with partners around the world

In their words

What settling in feels like

The feelings we meet every day, drawn from newcomer research and told in their own words.

I felt so warm when I just arrived without any info and many doubts. They treated me just like a human, with all respect.

A newcomer's words

My only regret after this visit was that I didn't come sooner. I left loaded with information and hope.
